President of ICR 2020

Dear friends, dear colleagues,

These days, our world has been upside down by an unprecedented battle with an invisible enemy, in which radiologists were in the forefront. The COVID-19 pandemic continues, confronting health care professionals around the world with clinical and operational challenges, and has significantly changed health care systems in general and radiology departments in particular. We had to adapt our daily activities to take care of both COVID-19 and non-COVID 19 patients whilst implementing safety measures. Activity was maintained for oncologic patients, non-delayable interventional procedures and emergency patients.

Despite the challenge we recently faced, we continued to work hard to prepare the upcoming Congress of Radiology. Although the pandemic had a negative impact and made our society to cancel the face-to-face meeting in Tehran, we planned to set up a virtual congress including live webinars and on-demand recorded contents.
On behalf of the organizing and scientific committees, it is my pleasure to invite you to the 36th Iranian congress of radiology. We very much look forward to your participation in the congress, which will be virtually held on November 3rd 2020 in Tehran, and brought to you via https://36.icrad.ir/ . We are confident it will again be an excellent meeting bringing together friends and colleagues within the large Radiology community to take part in the dedicated topics.
